Once again the weather provided excellent conditions for playing rugby.  Looking at the team sheet, considering the injuries and players with other commitments, we were fielding as strong a squad as possible. The unknown factor was the strength of Wolverhampton, a team we have competed against over the years and who have always provided a competitive game.

From the kick off we were soon into a style of play that seemed to put Wolverhampton on the back foot  Our backs and wingers took the game to Wolverhampton at some speed.  Within the half hour we had amassed 31 points to 7.  Wolverhampton scoring through an intercepted pass and try.  The pack were their usual formiddable unit, eercising great control in the scrum.

As the second half progressed we were not as commanding and were under some pressure from Wolverhampton.  Our backs and wingers, when brought into play, continued to score with excellent displays of defending and exciting play.  Another 17 points were added before the final whistle.  Wolverhampton incrassed their tally by 10 points and we were victorious - 48 points to 17!

Hopefully, as other players return from injury, our squad will be strengthened and we will continue to be entertained by our youthful squad.

Well done to all.
