Ben Carey from U11s at Walsall RFC had a lock down project to grow his hair .. and grow it he did!!
Ben was not doing this for himself. His plan was to donate his hair to a children’s cancer charity who make specialist wigs for children, whilst hoping to raise some money for the Charity in doing so.
Ben’s chosen charity is “The Little Princess Trust for Children with Cancer.” The trust is a local Midlands charity and Ben wanted to raise £100 via rugby, school and family.
On Sunday 23rd May 2021 Ben had his hair cut and we are very grateful to Ross Warwood for doing the honours.
With the support of his family, wider Rugby family, friends and well-wishers Ben has smashed that original target; the total of which now stands at over £1000!
All who know and have supported Ben, are extremely proud of his efforts. Ben and his family have been completely overwhelmed by the support shown and want to send you all a massive thank you!!
