We are devastated to announce the sad news that longstanding member Graham Angell passed away earlier this week.
Graham was an accomplished sportsman, having excelled at rugby and football. Graham represented Walsall 1st XV from the 1970s until his retirement. With the birth of his son Rob, Graham took on a new challenge and coached Rob's age group through our mini and junior age groups, with him later becoming a team manager of the senior sides and a Vice President of the Club.
Graham was a beloved father to Rob and Lara and a very dear friend to many from Walsall RFC and further afield.
Everyone at Walsall RFC will miss Graham dearly, and we all send our love and deepest condolences to Rob, Lara, and Liz.
On Saturday, a minutes silence will be observed by our senior sides, and we would love lots of support as we remember Graham and cheer on our boys in red.
Graham's funeral will be on Monday 4th March at St. Matthew's Church, St. Matthew's Close Walsall WS1 3DG at 12.30pm.
Liz, Rob and Lara invite everyone to Walsall Rugby Club afterwards to share their thoughts and memories and have a drink in the bara that he loved the most!
